Company History
Air Fantastic owner, Mark Mueller, spent most of his life with chronic respiratory related illnesses such as sinusitis, bronchitis, and strep throat. As an adult, he was on a never ending battle with sinusitis and bronchitis which worsened with seasonal allergies. Doctors would continually prescribe anti-biotics that would cure sinusitis or bronchitis that lasted only for a few weeks.
In 2002, he tried the AirSource 3000 air purifier from the vitamin company, Shaklee Corporation. This was the first air purifier on the market that used a new technology to generate four ions to clean the indoor environment. He was very skeptical that the machine would work when he first plugged it in but decided to try this new air purifier out of desperation after just losing $1400 in lost wages from his contract engineering job.
Mark was so amazed of the performance of this unit and the drastic improvement to his health. After he used this machine for a few weeks, he realized that it was the indoor environment that was making him sick previously. He immediately recognized the importance of this technology and decided to start marketing the AirSource 3000.
As the company grew, Air Fantastic started to market other types of ion technology. In 2006, Air Fantastic started to manufacture its own product line using the WashYourAir™ ion technology. The residential and commercial product line consist of a travel unit, three stand-alone units, and two HVAC probe units.
Air Fantastic can also designed custom solutions for commercial and industrial applications. Air Fantastic designed an outdoor industrial unit to eliminate trash odor for a large trash compactor for a wedding baguette hall in Connecticut.
